The meeting of the Board was attended by representatives of Uzbek and Kyrgyz higher education institutions.

At the meeting, the Center presented the Regulations for the selection of applicants for participation in scholarship programs that provide studying in Kazakhstani universities for foreigners, including people of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and financed from the state budget. Scholarships are awarded either for the full period of study or for one academic year, or for one academic period under bachelor and master degrees educational programs.

        Furthermore, there were held the negotiations with representatives of Uzbek and Kyrgyz universities on the development of students academic exchange.

In order to implement Article 21 and 22 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education”, in 2019, the Register of Educational Programs of Higher and Postgraduate Education will be created.

Upon the information provided by Kazakhstani universities, a list of educational programs of higher and postgraduate education has been compiled, which will be included in the REGISTER.

Discussion of the key issues of the development of higher education in Kazakhstan was held online.

The practice of attracting foreign specialists to the top management of universities began in 2016. In general, for 3 years, 84 foreign specialists were involved in management at Kazakhstani universities.

On November 2, 2018, Bologna Process and Academic Mobility Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted a seminar for Kazakhstani universities on the topic “Results of the EHEA Ministerial conference in Paris: institutional development of Kazakhstani universities - view up to 2020”.

The purpose of the event - to inform the academic community of universities about the key aspects of the Paris communique. The document was adopted in May of this year by the Ministers of Education of the Bologna Process member countries.

Quality assurance of higher education in accordance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) is one of the fundamental values of the Bologna process. The urgency of improving the quality of educational services provided by universities is outlined in the Paris Communique adopted in May 2018.

Bologna Process and Academic Mobility Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan is conducting a seminar for Kazakhstani universities on the topic “Results of the EHEA Ministerial conference in Paris: institutional development of Kazakhstani universities – a vision until 2020” on November 2, 2018.

 

On October 29, 2018, Bologna Process and Academic Mobility Center MES of Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the Republican conference «Development of Higher and Postgraduate Education: Experience and Prospects» (Almaty, Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi).
